Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of Scottish influence in interior design. The iconic Scottish style is of course plaid, but Scottish influence comes in many other forms: pheasant motifs, needlepoint hunting scenes, rich velvet sofas, and (faux!) mounted taxidermy. Here’s how to add a wee bit of Scotland to your home!

Loving this trend and just decorating my cottage living room in it.
Love the saltire flag cushion youve put on here. May have to invest!
Hi, loving this Scottish themed home interior stuff. In fact I have my own blog about the modern Scottish home (http://www.scottishhomestyle.com). Please feel free to visit and leave a comment to me, I’d love to hear from you!
I love a touch of plaid in décor…especially during the holidays…and not relegated to napkins.
I included an interpretation of plaid in my thistle lantern, which was quite challenging actually. I did this design for myself initially, Robbie Burns was approaching but it is becoming one of my strongest sellers. Maybe it’s the popularity of Outlander?
